The Emerald Pool
An unequalled portrait of a Lakeland pool, this painting of the River Esk was exhibited at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour at the Mall Galleries in London. It was a major contribution to Judy's acceptance as a member of the Society of Women Artists. A subject of stones under water that baffles many artists, this type of scene continues to fascinate Judy. The Emerald Pool was notable in being selected for the front cover of The Artist magazine.
Troutbeck Postbox
Judy’s most celebrated postbox, the edition sold out immediately. Situated in Troutbeck, near Windermere, the letter-box is a particularly pretty one, set in stone and adorned with a mixed array of wild flowers.
